Paws On Sea Home & Pet Services - Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out the agreement between you (the “Client”) and Paws On Sea Home & Pet Services (“we”, “us”, “our”) for the provision of dog walking, pet drop-in visits, home visits, Home Reset Visits, home checks and small animal care.
St Leonards-on-Sea, Hastings, Bexhill and surrounding areas.
By completing and signing the Paws On Sea introduction form, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Agreement to Terms

All clients are deemed to have accepted these Terms & Conditions upon signing the Paws On Sea introduction form.

No bookings will be accepted until the required Google form and relevant pet information have been fully completed.

Paws On Sea reserves the right to refuse or cancel services if any information provided is found to be inaccurate or incomplete.
2. Emergency Contact & Veterinary Care

Clients must provide the name and UK-based telephone number of an emergency contact authorised to make decisions about their pet(s).

In the event of an emergency, all reasonable efforts will be made to contact the Client or nominated person.

If contact cannot be made, Paws On Sea will act in the best interest of your pet(s), following the advice of a veterinary professional if required.

The Client is responsible for any veterinary fees incurred while their pet is under Paws On Sea’s care.

If transport to a veterinary practice is required, this will be arranged as safely as possible.
3. Responsibilities & Safety

Paws On Sea walkers will provide and use their own waste bags to ensure all faeces are collected and disposed of responsibly.

The Client must ensure their pet is wearing an identification tag and secure collar or harness at all times during collection and handover.

Paws On Sea reserves the right to terminate any walk or visit early in cases of extreme weather, unsafe conditions, or if an animal shows signs of distress or aggression.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse ongoing services if a pet does not respond well to the walker, other animals, or the environment.
4. Health & Wellbeing

All dogs must be fully vaccinated, microchipped, and up to date with flea and worm treatments.

Dogs that are ill, contagious or display aggressive behaviour may not be accepted for walks or visits.

Bitches in season will not be walked - pop-in visits and garden let-outs will be offered until the season ends.

Paws On Sea will promptly notify the Client of any concerns relating to their pet’s health or behaviour.
- Puppies will only be walked once they are an appropriate age, fully vaccinated and ready to begin lead walking. Walks will follow current veterinary guidance, including the 5-minute rule where appropriate.
6. Confidentiality & Media

Client information will be kept strictly confidential and used only for the purpose of providing agreed services.

The Client consents to Paws On Sea photographing or filming their pet for use in marketing, social media, or promotional materials.

All such images remain the property of Paws On Sea. Clients who wish to opt out may do so by written request.
7. Payment Terms
Payment for one-off bookings is due on or before the day of the service.
Regular clients may pay weekly by invoice.

• BACS
8. Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the service start date will not incur a charge.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or on the day of service will be charged in full.
- Home Reset Visits cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice will also be charged in full.

Paws On Sea reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to unforeseen circumstances, extreme weather, or emergencies.
9. Liability

Paws On Sea takes every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all pets in our care. However, we cannot be held responsible for any illness, injury, loss, theft, or death that may occur while pets are under our supervision.

Clients remain liable for any damage or injury caused by their pet while in Paws On Sea’s care.

Paws On Sea is fully insured and holds a valid DBS certificate and Canine First Aid qualification.

We are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items (e.g., leads, collars, tags, toys, or clothing).
Whilst every reasonable care will be taken, Paws On Sea cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or faults within a client's property.
10. Access & Keys

Clients may provide keys or access codes for property entry during services.

All keys and codes will be securely stored and labelled anonymously.

Keys will only be used for the purpose of pet care and returned upon request or termination of services.

Paws On Sea will not be held responsible for any accidental damage or loss resulting from defective locks, doors, or security systems.
11. Home Visits & Property
During Home Reset Visits or Home Checks, Paws On Sea will treat your home with the utmost respect and care.
Clients are responsible for informing Paws On Sea of any alarm systems, access arrangements, pets with behavioural concerns, or hazards within the property.
Home Reset Visits are designed to provide practical household support and are not intended to replace specialist cleaning services.
Tasks will be prioritised according to the time booked and the client's priorities. Completion of all requested tasks cannot be guaranteed within the allocated visit time.
Paws On Sea will provide cleaning products and equipment unless otherwise agreed. Clients must notify Paws On Sea of any allergies, sensitivities or preferred products before the visit.
Paws On Sea reserves the right to refuse any task considered unsafe or outside the agreed scope of the service.
Including but not limited to:
- Working at height
- Heavy lifting
- DIY
- Electrical work
- Plumbing
- Handling bodily fluids
- Pest removal
- Hazardous chemicals
- Paws On Sea cannot be held responsible for damage caused by pre-existing wear and tear, faulty fixtures, loose fittings or poor maintenance.
11. Insurance & Legal Compliance

Paws On Sea maintains full public liability insurance for all services provided.

Clients are responsible for ensuring all information provided regarding their pet is accurate and up to date.

Clients are responsible for ensuring their pets are legally compliant with UK laws, including microchipping and collar identification tags.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
By booking any service with Paws On Sea Pet Services, you agree to these terms in full.
